Why take the PADI Advanced
class?
After your five dives,
you'll be more experienced, feel more comfortable
in the water and simply enjoy diving more
because you better understand the underwater
environment.
You will learn the correct way to navigate
so you can return back to the boat or shore,
dive deeper, dive at night, plus you will
be able to select two other elective dives
from those listed below. You will
be doing five dives in one weekend with
two of those off a local Monterey dive boat!
Just $100.00 will hold you a spot for the
next class. Class size is limited.
What do I need to start?
You will need to have
obtained a PADI Open Water Diver certification
or a qualifying certification from another
organization and be at least 15 years
old or 12 years to enroll in the PADI Junior
Advanced Open Water Diver course.

How much is it going
to cost me?
This class includes
the works -- classroom, pool, ocean dives
and certification card! Sign up now and

The total training fees are $225.00.
The fees are broken down in order to provide
many training options to our clients. The

boat used exclusively by Diver

When you sign up for the class, the
classroom / pool fee will be collected
by the dive shop and the instructor
/ certification fee will be collected
on the first night of class by the instructor.

What is the class schedule?
The Advanced Open
Water SCUBA course is a one week class consisting
of one class session, one pool session (optional)
and five ocean dives during the weekend
of the class.
What will I be doing?
The ocean dives consist
of of two core dives: Navigation and Deep.
Three elective dives will need to be completed
and can consist of the following:
- Altitude
- Boat
- Drift
- Dry Suit

- Search & Recovery
- Underwater Naturalist
- Underwater Photography
- Multilevel Dive
|
- AWARE Fish Identification
- Dive Propulsion Vehicle
- Wreck
- Peak Performance Buoyancy
|
The elective dives are customized to the
student's desires and location of dives
and are discussed in class. All electives
chosen are at the discretion of the instructor.
It is also possible to complete the first
portion of the
PADI Enriched Air program as part of
your advanced class.

What will I need to
buy?
You will need to purchase
the following items if needed:
- PADI Advanced Open Water Diver Manual
(Adventures In Diving)
- Dive light and chem-light (for night
dive)
- Signaling device (whistle)
- Cutting device (shears or knife)
Before your ocean dives, you will need your
own personal snorkeling gear which includes
a mask, snorkel, fins, boots, gloves.
You will also need to have a PADI dive table
or wheel and a timing device or dive computer
and a log book.

| What can I rent? You may rent the rest of your SCUBA diving equipment if needed. This includes your wetsuit, hood, regulator with compass, weight belt, buoyancy control device (BCD) and tanks.Medical Concerns or Questions? If you are currently under the care of a Medical Doctor, or have a pre-existing medical condition that requires permission from a Physician, you will need to have a signed Medical Release form from your doctor before you can participate in any in-water activities.

We have a recommendation!OK - I'm ready! - What are the class dates? Being a PADI 5-Star CDC, Diver Dan's has the largest staff of instructors in the Bay Area. This allows us to offer class schedules that are sure to meet your needs. However, if you find that you are unable to find a class that fits into you schedule, just let us know as there are many options available to you.

Where can I go from here? PADI Advanced Open Water Divers at least 15 years of age can enroll in PADI Wreck and Deep Diver Specialty courses and continue on to the PADI Rescue Diver course. Those 12 to 14 can continue on to the PADI Junior Rescue Diver course. | |
